The Chemist
As
a member of the National Association of Chemical Distributors, Chemsolv
complies with the Responsible Distribution Process Program. An important
segment of this safe practice program is Community Outreach which
calls for us to work with community groups, government, and or schools
to better educate individuals outside our industry about safe handling
and the importance of chemicals in our society.
Recently Chemsolv’s Plant Manager Ryan Perdue, from our Rock Hill,
South Carolina facility sponsored a small introduction to chemistry
for Mrs. Hartsoe’s classes at Fort Mill Elementary School. |

The
program was entitled “You Be The Chemist” and allowed students in
Mrs. Hartsoe's classes to use some basic chemicals to make “goofy
putty”. The classes learned about the importance of safe handling
of chemicals and personal safety equipment. This is one of many ways
in which Chemsolv responds to the different civic responsibilities
in the communities we operate in.
